Carol Mendez is a Principal on the Finance and Operations Team at Motive Partners.

Carol joined the firm in 2025 and leads the firm’s Tax Function. She oversees all global tax matters for the firm and its funds, including tax compliance and reporting, investment structuring, transfer pricing, and overall tax strategy.

Prior to joining Motive Partners, Carol served as Vice President of Tax at Harvest Partners, a New York–based private equity firm, where she managed tax planning, compliance, and reporting across the firm’s control, structured capital, and credit investment platforms.

She brings over a decade of experience in private equity tax matters, beginning her career in the Investment Management Tax practice at Deloitte, advising both middle-market and large private equity firms on tax planning and reporting.

Carol holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master of Science in Taxation from Fordham University.
